Our Family Basics project relies on donations of new or great quality second hand items.
Our need throughout the year changes depending on the season and what we are running low on to offer families.
Please refer to our requests below for what we currently need and what we cannot accept.

New and great quality second hand clothes for children aged 2-16.
New children’s underwear and socks for ages 2-16.
New or great quality second hand children’s shoes.
New Stationery.
New School bags / rucksacks.
New Lunch bags / boxes.
New and great quality second hand children’s books.
New soft toys.
Safety Gates – with fixtures.
High Chairs – clean and with working safety straps.
Prams and Buggies – clean and with working brakes and safety straps.
Cots, Cot Beds and Toddler Beds – with mattress and fixtures.
Moses Baskets.
Moses Basket Stands.
New Moses basket mattresses.
New School uniform.
New Nappies (unopened).
New Toiletries (unopened).
New Bedding.
New and great quality second hand towels.
Baby equipment must be from a pet free and smoke free home.

Video games for any console.
Second hand soft toys.

Where to donate
We welcome donations at our base: Wood Street Mission, 26 Wood Street, Manchester, M3 3EF (Please note this is our only location).
We are open 08:30 – 16:30 Monday – Friday (Excluding Bank Holidays and please call the office for Christmas changes 0161 834 3140).
